Israeli League suspended its season amid reports of foreign players leaving the country

After a second long meeting, just one day after the initial one about the coronavirus epidemic, the Israeli League decided to suspend its season until further notice.

According to the announcement:

Due to the worldwide coronavirus epidemic, in the face of clear instructions from the Ministry of Health that prevent full games and training, and after consultation with senior officials of the Ministry of Sports, Ministry of Health and others, the Basketball Premier League manager is forced to announce the suspension of the Premier League basketball activities from today (16.3.2020),

Considering the fact that Tomer Ginat, the captain of Hapoel Tel Aviv, is under quarantine for 14 days, as it was announced earlier today, due to his contact with a confirmed patient, the writings were already one the wall.

According to Sport5, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem foreign players are ready to leave the country and returned to their home.
