Deshaun Thomas has reached an agreement with Alvark Tokyo for the 2020-21 season, the club announced.

Thomas will move to Japan and Asia for the first time, coming off a two-year run with Panathinaikos. The 28-year-old averaged a career-high 13.9 points plus 4.4 rebounds in EuroLeague this past season as the team’s leading scorer.

He won the 2019 Greek League and Greek Cup with PAO while prior to the ‘Greens’, he had played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, Anadolu Efes, Austin Spurs, Barcelona, and Nanterre.

“I am grateful and grateful for the opportunity to play as a member of Alvark Tokyo. We will do our best to maximize the high level of performance on the court to achieve the goals of our traditional team. We look forward to meeting you with our wonderful fans. Thank you for your warm support,” Thomas said.

With Panathinaikos revamping its roster, Thomas was near Baskonia in the start of the summer, but he ended up continuing his career in Japan.
