Maccabi Tel Aviv announced that the team has granted the request of its player Tyler Dorsey to leave Israel and that he is expected to travel back to the US.

“Thank you Maccabi family for embracing me since I stepped off the flight 2 years ago. To the fans and all my teammates in my 2 years thanks for rocking with me. Man was it a blessing to get to come to the holy land and get closer to God and experience and see the things I never would have thought to see or go to in my life. For now I will return to the States but you never know what the future may hold……..” Dorsey wrote via Instagram.

The American guard is also expected to travel to Greece at the start of the next month in order to join the national team training camp preparations.

Numerous foreign players have already left Israel in light of the missile attacks in the country after releasing a joint statement asking for the season to be canceled for safety reasons.

After proposing the idea of a bubble tournament in Eilat in case the conflict remains, the Israeli Winner League canceled the plan and decided to conclude the season in various locations in the northern part of the country.
