Gilboa Galil forces Game 3 vs Maccabi despite Wilbekin’s 34 points

Gilboa Galil gambled away solid double-digit leads throughout the game but still managed to come out victorious against Maccabi Tel Aviv with 81-76 on the scoreboard. With this win, the Israeli League Finals are tied at 1-1 and Game 3 will decide the champions.

The game was tied at 74 with two minutes remaining but Kerry Blackshear banked in a crucial three-pointer which coupled with great defense pushed the hosts to victory.

Blackshear finished with 20 points while also adding ten rebounds. Joe Thomasson was right behind with 17 points including the two free throws at the very end to seal the deal. He also dished out ten assists.

Yiftach Ziv was also clutch with a two-pointer to follow Blackshear’s triple and scored a total of 12 points. On Maccabi’s side, Scottie Wilbekin was on fire with 34 points (6-10 from deep) while Chris Jones added 14 points.
