Limassol BC forward Corey Manigault was extubated a week after being hospitalized with brain hemorrhage and hematoma, his club announced. Manigault was seriously injured in what the Cypriot police are investigating as a murder attempt against him, last Sunday (27/11) morning.
While Manigault, 23, has regained basic functions, his condition is still monitored closely by the doctors, Limassol BC also says.
Manigault, his girlfriend and teammate Brandon Averette were assaulted outside a club in Nicosia. The latter two suffered non-serious cuts and abrasions during the incident but Manigault was heavily injured.
Three people were arrested as suspects in the case.
