While he spent all of his playing career in Turkiye, representing Besiktas, Darussafaka, Efes, Galatasaray, and Fenerbahce, Sinan Guler’s next chapter will be outside of the country, with a Dutch team.

The 41-year-old former Turkish national team member has been named technical director of Heroes Den Bosch, which will be playing in both the BNXT League and in the Qualification Rounds of the Basketball Champions League in 2025-26.

“I am really looking forward to this challenge with Heroes Den Bosch, an organisation that excels both on and off the field. There is a lot of clarity about what is needed to grow to the next level,” he said.

“Heroes is a big name in Dutch basketball, but we want to investigate step by step how we can also have a say in Europe in the long term. Just like I always did as a player, I will do everything I can to support the organisation as best as possible,” he said.

I am determined to develop a basketball vision that is fuelled by this energy and from which every player who puts on the Heroes shirt will benefit fully,” Guler added.

In the 2024-25 season, Heroes Den Bosch became Dutch Champions in the BNXT League, but they couldn’t go on to win the whole competition as from this year, the first-placed team in the Regular Season gets crowned overall champions between Belgium and the Netherlands.
