Hapoel Jerusalem ends Hapoel Tel Aviv’s undefeated streak in the national league

The clash between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Jerusalem did not disappoint. Jerusalem got the win on the road (77-92) in Hapoel’s first loss in the domestic competition.

Chris Jones (12) and Elijah Bryant (12) were the top scorers for the local team. Vaslije Micic, Tyler Ennis, Collin Malcolm, Ish Wainright, and Tai Odiase did not play for Hapoel Tel Aviv.

In Hapoel Jerusalem, Khadeem Carrington (20), Jared Harper (17), and Justin Smith (16) led the away victory.

Hapoel Jerusalem wasn’t afraid of one of the best teams in Europe in the first half (36-40). The Eurocup’s Group A leader fought back in the second quarter.

A tough second half for Hapoel Tel Aviv, who couldn’t keep up the pace. Itoudis’ team lost at home (77-92) and is no longer undefeated in the national league.

Dimitris Itoudis had a heated moment with one of the referees. Hapoel’s coach lost his temper after an offensive foul by Yam Madar, according to Israel media.
