Last season was one that Maccabi Tel Aviv affiliates (from management to fans) want to forget and what better way to do this than beginning 2017-2018 with a title.
The “Yellows” celebrated the preseason Winner Cup after beating Ironi Nahariya 93 – 79 in the Final, behind a potent offensive team effort and five players scoring in double-digit numbers.
DeShaun Thomas stood out with 20 points and 4 assists while Alex Tyus posted a double-double of 18 points/12 rebounds while stealing the ball thrice. Michael Roll had 14 points plus 6 assists, tournament MVP John Dibartolomeo had 11 points and Jonah Bolden contributed 11 points as well as 9 rebounds.
Alex Young scored 23 points, Denzel Livingston 13 and Corey Webster 12 for Ironi Nahariya.
