Hapoel Jerusalem took some payback for its defeat to Ironi Nahariya in the Winner Cup quarterfinal, by winning 68 – 76 away from home in the premiere of the new Israeli League season.
Austin Daye (14 points, 4 rebounds), Jerome Dyson (14 points, 6 rebounds) and Curtis Jerrells (13 points, 4 assists) were the main leaders of the reigning champions’ efforts.
For Ironi Nahariya, Corey Webster and Denzel Livingston scored 14 points while Alex Young finished with 13 points.
