Lietkabelis played a great first half to win 92-68 against Siauliai in front of the home crowd in Game 3 of the Lithuanian League quarterfinals which puts them ahead 2-1 in the series. The hosts stepped on the floor highly motivated and basically decided the game after twenty minutes as they created a 25-point advantage (54-29) and kept it until the end.

Zanis Peiners led the victors with 17 in addition to Dominik Mavra’s 16 points. On the other side, Laurynas Birutis scored game-high 24 points while Donatas Sabeckis added 19 points.

Earlier, Lietuvos Rytas completely controlled the game against Juventus Utena recording a dominant 102-73 home victory with which they advance to the semifinals with a sweep (3-0). The home team scored in triple-digits in the end but defense is the main reasons for this win as they forced the opponent to turn the ball over 21 times in comparison to their nine turnovers.

Rokas Giedraitis led the victors with 21 while Martynas Echodas, Christopher Kramer and Ben Madgen scored 15 points each. For the losing team, Maksym Korniienko scored 21 in addition to Mindaugas Kupšas’ 19 points.

In the first game of the day, Neptunas Klaipeda beat Pieno Zvaigzdes 92-82 on the home court and took the 2-1 lead in the series. Although no team could gain a significant advantage throughout the game, the hosts were leading most of the time thanks to the better ball movement, control of the boards and more direct offense which was rewarded with a lot of free throws.

The winners were led by Laurynas Beliauskas who scored 21 and Renaldas Seibutis who added 18 points. On the other side, Trevon Hughes tried to push his team with 21 in addition to Jahenns-Ley Manigat’s 19 points.
