Matej Kavas shines in Seattle’s win

Matej Kavas scored a season-high 26 points in Seattle’s (9-2) 90-71 victory against Omaha (3-6) on Thursday. The Slovenian junior guard was 7/12 from the field including six three pointers. He also grabbed six rebounds and dished one assist in 39 minutes for the Redhawks sixth straight win.

French sophomore Olivier Sarr had 14 points, nine rebounds and one block, his freshman compatriot Jaylen Hoard added 12 points and eight rebounds in Wake Forest’s (5-3) 80-56 win over Charlotte (2-5). Serb Milos Supica had eight points and three rebounds for the losing side before fouling out.

Dutch Matt Haarms pushed Purdue (6-3) to a big 62-60 win over #23 Maryland (7-2) with ten points, six rebounds and three blocks in 25 minutes. The sophomore center is now averaging 7.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1,5 blocks in 1.3 assists in the 2018-19 NCAA season.
