NCAA Weekly European Report: Lever, Guerrero and Pusica shine

Italian Alessandro Lever scored 27 points in Grand Canyon’s only game of the week, but wasn’t enough against San Diego that grabbed the 61-58 victory. The sophomore forward tied the game with two free throws, but Isaiah Pineiro followed sinking the winning three-pointer for the Toreros on Saturday. Spaniard Ruben Guerrero poured 23 points in 26 minutes in Samford’s easy win over VMI. Serb senior Vasa Pusica finished up 2018 with 29 points in Northeastern’s win against Drexel and 11 more in the double-overtime loss to Delaware.
