A buzzer-beater three-pointer sank by Chris Jones secured the win, 83-81, for LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne versus BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque at the Astroballe on Sunday evening.

The hosts dug themselves out of an 11-point hole in the second half and eventually got the job done with the game-winning triple by Jones. The 28-year-old point guard dropped all of his nine points in the fourth quarter of the Betclic LNB Pro A Regular Season Round 1 affair.

The top performer of Friday’s Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 1 win over Zalgiris Kaunas, Elie Okobo was back at it with 17 points to his name. Dylan Osetkowski threw in 15 more points and Youssoupha Fall had 12 points for the team coached by T.J. Parker.

The defending champions of France survived John Jenkins, former NBA player for the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards, and New York Knicks, logging a game-high 25 points behind 5/10 threes. The upset bid fell short despite BCM leading 63-52 late in the third period.
