By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Amine Noua scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead ASVEL Villeurbanne to an 80 – 64 win over Nancy in Round 7 of the French Jeep Elite League regular season. TJ Parker’s team bounced back to victories on a domestic level after losing to Roanne in the previous match.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright contributed 12 points plus seven assists while Youssoupha Fall had 11 points plus 12 rebounds for ASVEL. Their squad had a well-balanced game on both ends of the floor and made up for its 17 turnovers by shooting the ball efficiently (54.3 percent on 2-pointers, 40.9 percent on threes), for the most part.

Stephane Grombauld (13 points, 12 rebounds) stood out from Nancy.

ASVEL improved to 4-3 and there’s still a long way for the reigning champions to catch up with Monaco in the first place. The latter beat Strasbourg on the road to improve to 7-0.
