Monaco rolls past ASVEL to the Leaders Cup Final

With five players scoring in double figures, AS Monaco beat ASVEL Villeurbanne 91 – 78 to advance to the Final of the 2025 French Leaders Cup tournament.

Mike James led Monaco’s scorers with 17 points. Elie Okobo had 14 points plus five assists, Alpha Diallo dropped 13 points while Mam Jaiteh and Matthew Strazel scored 10 points apiece.

Nando De Colo had a team-high 18 points for ASVEL.

Monaco led from start to finish and went up 20 – 41 halfway through the second quarter. ASVEL reduced the margin to single digits, 42 – 51, early in the third period but their opponents increased their advantage once more and retained a double-digit lead for the rest of the match.

In the other semifinal game, Trevor Hudgins scored 29 points and hit the winning triple with eight seconds to play to lead Le Mans past Saint Quentin 88 – 85.
