Last week, Monaco defeated Le Mans away in the French championship (93-84), but the match was marked by a move from Mike James.

Towards the end of the game, James got furious over a referee’s decision, which led to his ejection.

Now, one of the best players in the history of the EuroLeague has been punished with a three-game suspension, applicable only in the league, was noted in the statement released by the competition.

“AS Monaco Basketball takes note of the suspension of its captain Mike James, as decided by the LNB’s Legal, Disciplinary and Regulations Commission. The player will not be able to participate in the next three matchdays of the French championship (Bourg, Dijon, Strasbourg). This suspension applies solely to the Betclic Elite: Mike will therefore be able to play in the French Cup Round of 16 against Paris.”

Monaco currently holds a 7-1 record in the league, and on Wednesday, they defeated ASVEL 84-52 in an away game during the 12th round of the EuroLeague.
