After one victory and one defeat in Euroleague, Monaco wanted to finish the week with a win in LNB.
And it wasn’t easy, as the team coached by Spanoulis needed ten extra minutes to defeat Nanterre 105-98, grabbing the win to jump to a 10-2 record and lead the French league for another round.
Mike James once again led the Monégasques offensively, finishing the game with 34 points and four rebounds. As has often been the case, Elie Okobo was his best partner, adding 27 points.
However, neither of them was named MVP of the game, an honor that went to Mathis Dossou-Yovo, who kept the visitors in the contest with 28 points and 12 rebounds.
Despite building a solid lead in the second quarter (37–21), Monaco were unable to hold off their opponents.
By halftime, the lead was only as big as four points (43-39) and the game got very tight.
The first forty minutes ended in a 74–74 tie. After one overtime period, the score was still level at 88, forcing five more minutes of play.
In the second extra period, the home side were far superior, sealing a hard-fought but ultimately clear victory.
