Monaco’s season has not been easy. Poor results, including five consecutive EuroLeague defeats (from 15-7 to a 15-12 record), coupled with disastrous financial management, are generating constant noise in every game.

After days of rumors about the club’s situation, the Monaco players finally decided not to go on strike in the domestic competition. With the club confirming a structural change in January, the Principality taking control while awaiting a majority shareholder, and results not going their way in recent weeks, Monaco pulled off a great away win against Chalon.

Matthew Strazel (16 p.) and Nemanja Nedovic (15 p.) were the top scorers for Spanouli’s squad. Elie Okobo and Kevarrius Hayes did not play.

Once the game started, Monaco came out determined to finish strong in the first half. After a great second quarter, Spanoulis’s team went into halftime with a comfortable lead (34-45).

With Strazel and Nedovic leading the way, they increased the pace in the final quarter to secure another away win (78-92) and remain at the top of the LNB.
