Monaco got the job done against Cholet (89-79).
Even if coach Vassilis Spanoulis did not sit on his team’s bench, with no details given about why this decision was taken, they managed to pull off the victory.
His assistant coach, Ilias Katzouris, was also missing, and officially, they both were declared “sick” by the club.
Still, on the same day that Mirotic’s indefinite absence due to a plantar fascia injury was announced, Monaco remained the leader of the LNB after a great second half.
Elie Okobo (21 p.) was the top scorer for the local team. Alpha Diallo added 16 and Mike James 11, as six players scored in double-digits.
