On Day 22 of PRO A League, Champagne Châlons-Reims Basket defeated the visiting SIG Basket Strasbourg and won 80-72.
The hosts started strong from the start outrunning the opponent and making a double-digit lead already in the first period (26-12) which they kept until the break 44-28.

But Strasbourg wasn’t planning on going down easy and gave their all to get back in the game. They managed to get to a one-possession game with two minutes remaining (75-72) but just didn’t have the strength to go all the way.

The winning side was led by LaMonte Ulmer and Martin Hermannson as they scored 21 points each.
For the guests, Louis Labeyrie scored 18, in addition to Bost Dee’s 17 points.

A little bit earlier AS Monaco Basket barely came out on top against JDA Dijon Basket after overtime 94-90 (82-82). With this win, Monaco is once again alone at the top of the standings with a 16-6 record.

It didn’t look good for Monaco as they were trailing by five with 40 seconds left (82-77), but a quick three-pointer and a good defense gave them a chance to decide the outcome and they used it. Aaron Craft scored for overtime with 15 seconds left.

David Holston gave it his all by scoring seven out of eight points for Dijon, but Monaco’s team effort was too much as they sealed a victory.

Christopher Evans led the victors with a double-double scoring 23 points and adding 11 rebounds. His right-hand man was Elmedin Kikanovic with 21 points.
On the other side, Holston scored 22 points with seven assists, while Rion Brown added 20 points.
