Fenerbahçe Beko saw its 10-game winning streak come to an end with a 94–88 away loss to Esenler Erokspor, prompting head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius to deliver candid post-game remarks.

The yellow-and-navy side struggled throughout the contest, particularly with turnovers and defensive lapses. Fenerbahçe committed 17 turnovers, at times completely losing control of the game.

Speaking after the match, Jasikevicius criticized his team’s mindset:“It’s not always easy for my players to understand certain things. We’re in first place in both the EuroLeague and the Turkish League. It’s also not easy to reach them and communicate their shortcomings.

The experienced coach highlighted a recurring issue with focus. “In general, we don’t come prepared for some games and our approach isn’t good. Being in first place might be covering up a lot of things.”

Jasikevicius emphasized that such periods can be particularly dangerous, especially with the playoffs approaching. “Even if losses and poor performances don’t seem like a major issue on paper, these are the most dangerous periods. Because the playoffs and the toughest games are just around the corner.”

He also addressed the team’s injuries, but made it clear they are not the primary concern: “Yes, we have injuries, and they do create problems, but I can’t say they are at the top of our list of issues.”
