Fenerbahce Beko forward/center Joffrey Lauvergne got injured in the last minutes of his team’s win in the Turkish Cup semifinal against Turk Telekom and the first estimation says that the player suffered an ankle sprain.

Lauvergne will undergo an MRI tonight that will determine the precise extent of the damage and the time needed for the player’s recovery. For now, the French big guy is ruled out of Sunday’s (17/2) Turkish Cup Final vs. Anadolu Efes.

In 22 EuroLeague games this season, Lauvergne has been averaging 8.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists over 17:58 minutes. Fenerbahce is at the top of the standings with a 19 – 3 record.
