Zverev to Nizhny Novgorod on loan

Nizhny Novgorod agreed with Lokomotiv Kuban to get Nikita Zverev on loan for the following season, as both teams confirmed.

Zverev (2.07m., 22 years old) arrives from Stroitiel Engels, in where he averaged 13.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 23 Russian Superleague games last season. He grew up with Khimki Moscow Region but joined Lokomotiv’s U23 team in 2013, where he played until he joined Stroitiel on January 2016. He has also been a member of the Russian national team and will make his Eurocup debut with Nizhny next season.

A few words by the player: “I am glad to be part of this team, which gives chances to young Russian basketball players. Next season will be very important for me in terms of my development, so I will try to make every effort to add all ingredients and earn out coach’s trust.”
