Darko Planinic has been released this summer from Laboral Kutxa, with which he reached the last Final Four. However, his future keeps him in the ACB league as he will play in Gran Canaria.

The 25 years old power forward born in Mostar was shaped in KK Siroki, team in where he played between 2008 and 2012. Then he passed through Maccabi Tel Aviv, Cibona and Buducnost, until he made his debut in Spain with Laboral.

Planinic has shone for his country in the Olympic qualifiers, helping Croatia to qualify to the Olympic Games. He scored 13 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in the final against Italy.
