Timofey Mozgov hadn’t been played in an official game since 2018 and he broke the hiatus with a 15-minute performance for Khimki Moscow Region in the 89-83 win over Enisey in the VTB League.

The 34-year-old shot 2-5 from the field and 2-4 from the free-throw line as he scored six points while also adding six rebounds and one assist.

Mozgov was sidelined with a knee injury since late in the 2017-18 season, his eighth in the NBA. The 2016 NBA champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers, had participated in 494 NBA games between the Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and New York Knicks.

He signed with Khimki in 2019 but didn’t play and had to undergo knee surgery last summer which kept him sidelined since.
