Will Clyburn scored 24 points and grabbed five rebounds as CSKA Moscow defeated Zenit St. Petersburg 96 – 82 to go up 2-1 in the VTB League semifinals. The reigning champions need one more win to clinch a spot in the next stage.
Daniel Hackett added 16 points, Darrun Hilliard had 15 points and Johannes Voigtmann dropped 14 points for CSKA. Their team led from near-start to finish and was particularly effective (26-18) in the fourth period to get the victory without troubles down the stretch.
Kevin Pangos finished with 15 points plus five assists and Billy Baron with Will Thomas had 13 points apiece for Zenit.
