Alexey Savrasenko to be appointed general manager of Lokomotiv Kuban

Alexey Savrasenko returns to Lokomotiv Kuban! Not as a player of course, but to fill the spot of the club’s General Manager in the team which was the last station of his career in 2012/2013.

The news were announced by the Russian Basketball Federation, where Savrasenko worked as head of the development department, since November 2013.

Federation’s president Andrei Kirilenko thanked him for his work and dedication to basketball saying that: “I would like to thanks Alex for his teamwork and for helping the federation. He proved himself to be a very reliable partner and person. Ι wish him success and good luck”.

Savrasenko is a three-times Euroleague champion, winning the competition wice with CSKA Moscow (2006, 2008) and once with Olympiacos Piraues (1997). He has also won the 2013 Eurocup with Lokomotiv Kuban. As a member of the Russian national team he won the golden medal in Eurobasket 2007.
