Khimki extended their winning streak in the VTB League to three games after knocking down Parma Perm Region at home 90-87. The hosts were up by 11 (50-39) after the first half, but they almost committed suicide in the last quarter as Parma didn’t give up.

Thanks to a 16-5 run, the visitors pushed for a comeback. Parma had an 81-78 lead with four minutes left in the game, but Alexey Shved and Malcolm Thomas saved the day from Khimki.

Shved was struggling from the downtown (0/6 for three), but that didn’t stop him from scoring 20 points and dishing eight assists. Thomas almost had a perfect game, scoring 26 points on 11/12 from the field and adding eight rebounds as well.

Frank Gaines had a game-high 27 points for Parma, but that wasn’t enough.

With this win, Khimki moved up to an 11-9 record while Parma stands on a 7-13.
