A week after Sergey Mokin stepped down as Avtodor Saratov’s head coach the Russian club announced its decision on his successor, Dusan Alimpijevic. Vladimir Antsiferov covered the gap in the last VTB United League and FIBA Europe Cup matches as the interim head coach.

Alimpijevic, 32, is coming from his EuroLeague stint with Crevna Zvezda in 2017-18. He led his team to 11 wins in 30 EuroLeague games.

With Avtodor he signed a contract for the rest of the 2018-19 season. Dmitriy Boldaev and Nebojsa Vagic will be his assistants.
