Near-perfect Hunter, CSKA take Game 1 vs. Zenit

Zenit Saint Petersburg held on in the first half but CSKA Moscow had full control in the second part of the game as they recorded a 98-82 home win in Game 1 of the VTB playoffs.

Othello Hunter scored 22 points on 9-10 shooting while Cory Higgins added 16 in addition to Semen Antonov’s 14 points. Nando De Colo and Alec Peters weren’t on the roster for this game.

For Zenit, Jalen Reynolds scored 14 followed by Evgeny Voronov’s 12 points while Codi Miller-McIntyre and Sergey Karasev added 11 points each.

Game 2 of the best-of-five series will also be played in front of CSKA’s crowd and it is scheduled for May 25.
