Nikita Kurbanov named VTB Playoffs MVP

The 2019 VTB United League Playoffs MVP award was won by Nikita Kurbanov. The 32-year-old Russian forward helped CSKA Moscow go all the way once again with 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per postseason contest. He was crowned VTB Champion for the sixth time following the sweeps over Nizhny Novgorod in the Quarterfinals, Zenit Saint-Petersburg in the Semifinals and Khimki Moscow Region in the Finals.

Only Milos Teodosic has previously landed the VTB Playoffs MVP title twice, in 2014 and 2016. The other recipients are Sergio Rodriguez in 2018, Nando De Colo in 2017, Andrey Vorontsevich in 2015, Victor Khryapa in 2013, Andrei Kirilenko in 2012, Vitaly Fridzon in 2011, J.R. Holden in 2010 and Ramunas Siskauskas in 2008.
