In the EuroLeague Round 14’s clash on the road against ASVEL, Panathinaikos won 89-81 and Kostas Sloukas had a career-high night in assists (12), while also adding 18 points and 5 rebounds for an overall PIR of 29. Thanks to this, he was named the MVP of the Round.
Speaking in the post-game flash interview, the Greek point guard commented on his team’s effort. “I think we took good decisions on offense in the last 5 minutes. We executed on offense and had open shots. We took the rebounds and Kostas [Antetokounmpo] helped us a lot also on defense with 3-4 blocks and finally, we took the win”, he added about what Kostas Antetokounmpo brought to the table.
After leaving Olympiacos, where he went inches away from last year’s EuroLeague, Kostas Sloukas has been averaging 11.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game. He’s shooting 49.1% from two and 83.7% at the line per game, while the green-and-white side is tied for the 9th spot at 7-7.
