Nikola Kalinic carries Crvena Zvezda to 2-0 lead against Partizan

Crvena Zvezda took a crucial 85-81 victory over visiting Partizan in Game 2 of the ABA League finals to get ahead with a 2-0 lead and just one win away from winning the 2022 championship.

Kalinic scored 25 points to help Zvezda survive an intense finale at home, to go along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists for a PIR of 28.

Luka Mitrovic added 14 points and six rebounds for the winners, Nikola Ivanovic posted 12 points and Austin Hollins had 11 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Although Zvezda never trailed, Partizan scored 28 points in the final period to make a two-point game with under 10 seconds remaining, though Mitrovic made sure to have the final say for the hosts with his mid-range jumper that determined the final score.

Aleksa Avramovic posted a team-high with 21 points for Partizan, Matthias Lessort had 18 points and 7 boards, Dallas Moore picked up 14 points and Zach LeDay finished the game with 11 points and 7 boards.

Game 3 of the series is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, 20:30 local time in Partizan’s homecourt.
