Monaco is fighting for survival, and that means even changing the domestic league in which they compete.
As reported by the Serbian outlet “Sport Club,” Monaco is offering half a million euros for an ABA League wildcard with very slim chances of succeeding.
Monaco has to be relegated to the lower French divisions. Still, the Adriatic League, which is a private league and has expanded beyond the ex-Yugoslav borders, most notably with recent champions Dubai BC, in theory could host them.
Having said that, the ABA League has already announced its 20 participants, their schedule for next season, and the league has also decided to cap the participants to 20 clubs divided into two groups.
So while Monaco is making an offer, everything seems to be stacked against them.
