Codi Miller-McIntyre buried a tough shot in the final seconds that initially appeared to be a game-tying three. However, after reviewing the play, officials ruled that his foot was on the line, awarding only two points and leaving Crvena Zvezda one point behind Cedevita Olimpija with just one second remaining — and with no real chance to turn the game around.
In the ABA League Round 7 clash in Ljubljana, the hosts prevailed 87–86. Crvena Zvezda fell to 3–3 on the season, while Cedevita Olimpija improved to an impressive 5–1.
Umoja Gibson led the winning side with 18 points, while Aleksej Nikolic added 15 and seven assists. D.J. Stewart finished with 11, and Jaka Blazic contributed 10.
For Crvena Zvezda, Semi Ojeleye scored a team-high 18 points, Uroš Plavšić added 15 with seven rebounds, and Miller-McIntyre posted 14 points along with five assists.
Earlier in the day, Dubai defeated FMP 107–91 on the road, with Boogie Ellis delivering 28 points and six assists.
Justin Anderson followed with 18, Kenan Kamenjaš came close to a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Kosta Kondić added 12, Filip Petrušev 11, and McKinley Wright 10.
On the FMP side, Josh Scott scored 27 points, and Filip Barna added 24.
