Barça has been racking up wins all season long, under Peñarroya, Orella, and Xavi Pascual.
But it wasn’t until Pascual’s arrival that the team achieved consistent, comfortable victories from start to finish, with a sense of security that everyone appreciates.
The Blaugrana defeated Morabanc Andorra by a resounding 102-71, a result that speaks volumes about the home team’s superiority.
Willy Hernangómez had a field day, finishing with 13 points and also displaying excellent defensive skills. The good news didn’t end there, as even Clyburn (12 points) earned a spot on the Liga Endesa roster. But the star of the show today was Joel Parra, who, with 24 points and a 34 efficiency rating, broke his Liga Endesa records.
Only Shannon Evans shone for the visiting team, who were no match for the home side’s dominance.
Despite the 16-14 score at the end of the first quarter suggesting a low-scoring, scrappy game, Barça quickly got their game going.
The second half began with an eight-point lead (38-30) that reflected the nature of the match: constant dominance by the Blaugrana, who steadily increased their advantage as the minutes ticked by.
Starting the final quarter with a 76-51 lead was all Xavi Pascual’s men needed to treat the last ten minutes as a mere formality, confirming that this Barça is a different team… and a much better one.
