The 2025-26 regular season of the Liga Endesa came to a thrilling conclusion with one of the most dramatic final rounds in recent memory. Playoff battles, relegation heartbreak, overtime thrillers and last-second heroics defined a spectacular night across Spanish basketball.
Barça keep second place hopes alive in Andorra
FC Barcelona needed overtime to defeat MoraBanc Andorra 95-100 in a tense and emotional contest. The victory keeps Barça’s hopes of securing second place alive heading into the playoffs, while the home fans were also able to celebrate after other results confirmed Andorra’s survival in the league.
The night also marked the highly anticipated returns of Nicolás Laprovittola and Jan Vesely, two key players for the Catalan side ahead of the postseason.
UCAM Murcia finish with an offensive explosion
UCAM Murcia closed the regular season in spectacular fashion, crushing Hiopos Lleida 116-95 in one of the highest-scoring games of the year.
Murcia played with pace, confidence and attacking freedom from start to finish, leaving the team in strong form as they now wait to discover their final playoff position.
Baskonia deliver and eliminate Unicaja
Kosner Baskonia took care of business with a narrow 92-89 victory that carried major consequences. The Basque side not only strengthened their own position in the standings but also eliminated Unicaja Málaga from playoff contention.
TLC led the way offensively with 22 points, stepping up in a tense atmosphere at the Buesa Arena.
Bilbao Basket secure seventh place
Surne Bilbao Basket sealed seventh place in the standings after defeating La Laguna Tenerife 82-87 on the road.
The game remained competitive throughout, but Bilbao showed greater composure in the closing minutes to secure an important victory, while Tenerife finished the regular season in eighth place.
Girona end their season with a win
Bàsquet Girona wrapped up their 2025-26 campaign with an 82-77 home victory over Asisa Joventut.
Although neither team had major objectives left to fight for, the game provided an entertaining finish to the season and allowed Girona to end the year on a positive note in front of their supporters.
Zaragoza’s miracle sends Gran Canaria down
The story of the night came in Zaragoza.
Casademont Zaragoza completed a stunning escape from relegation thanks to a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Marco Spissu, giving the home side a dramatic 94-95 win over Río Breogán.
The arena erupted after a shot that completely changed the relegation picture. Zaragoza’s victory ultimately condemned Dreamland Gran Canaria to relegation to Primera FEB in one of the season’s cruelest outcomes.
