Real Madrid keeps Baskonia under control – ACB Day 14 Recap

Real Madrid went ahead in double-digits already in the first quarter of the match against Baskonia and didn’t let go until the end recording a 91-74 road win on Day 14 of Spanish League.

Trey Thompkins led the way with 19 points while Facundo Campazzo scored 15 points and dished ten assists. Santiago Yusta scored 15 points and Edy Tavares notched a double-double of 14 points and ten rebounds.

For Baskonia, Marcelo Huertas scored game-high 24 points in addition to Shavon Shields’ 12, while Toko Shengelia was injured during the game.

Earlier, San Pablo Burgos put on a strong team effort and won 81-74 on the road against Gran Canaria.

Vlatko Cancar scored 13 points for the winning side in addition to Augusto Lima’s 12. For Gran Canaria, Marcus Eriksson nailed game-high 22 points.

On Saturday (29/12), Kevin Seraphin led Barcelona past Obradoiro and Matt Thomas pushed Valencia to a win against Zaragoza.

Barcelona will go into the new year as the first-placed squad (12-2) in front of Real Madrid (11-1) while Baskonia and Unicaja follow with 10-4 records. San Pablo Burgos improved to 6-8 while Gran Canaria stands at a 4-10 record.
