Real Madrid defeats Obradoiro with strong second half

Monbus Obradoiro started hot, but was ultimately defeated by Real Madrid, 94-70, in ACB Regular Season Round 27 action. Facundo Campazzo paved the way for the “W” in the early Sunday contest with 15 points, nine dimes, five rebounds and three steals to his name.

Pablo Laso’s side fell in a seven-point hole during the first quarter and trailed by six in the second. However, the second half was a completely different story. Real jumped to a double-digit lead en route for the convincing win.

Rudy Fernandez helped out nailing four shots beyond the arc and finishing the game with 14 points. Jaycee Carroll and Gustavo Ayon had 11 points each. Trey Thompkins and Walter Tavares followed with nine points apiece with the latter grabbing ten rebounds as well.

The hosts improved their W-L record to 21-6 and dropped their opponents to 11-16 overcoming Kyle Singler’s game-high 17 points. Sergio Llull, Anthony Randolph, Jeffery Taylor and Ognjen Kuzmic were out.
