Randolph, Real Madrid torch Valencia in Game 1 win

Anthony Randolph scored a game-high 24 points with 6/6 triples and grabbed six rebounds as Real Madrid defeated Valencia 94 – 72 in Game 1 of the Spanish ACB League semifinals.

Randolph wasn’t the only Madrid player who was “hot” from beyond the arc. Real had 8/14 3-pointers in the first half to take a 43 – 28 lead, and finished the game with 16/27 en route to the blowout win.

With two minutes remaining in the third period, Valencia went down even by 34 points, 72 – 38. Aaron Doornekamp posted 15 points and six rebounds while Will Thomas scored 10 for the losing squad.

Apart from Randolph, Fabien Causeur contributed 11 points and Jeff Taylor 10 to Real. Facu Campazzo finished with five points, six assists, and four boards.

Game 2 of the best-of-five series takes place at Real Saturday (8/6).
