Rudy Gobert has been working on starting up a youth academy and his project has been gifted with an outdoor court in Levallois-Perret near the Seine river. It was built over an older and decaying court.

The two-time NBA All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year unveiled the court that will be at the center of the Rudy Gobert Academy. The project though won’t be focused just on athletic development and sports but will also offer lessons in English, writing, music and other courses. It is intended for kids ages 10-16.

Gobert cooperated with Nike to build the court out of recycled materials and with Etendart to assist with the educational activities of the academy.

“A dream come true. Thank you Nike for the tremendous support, thanks Ville de Lavallois for welcoming us. And of course big thanks to Etendard and Parade Studio for your amazing work. First of many,” Gobert wrote via Twitter while sharing a promo video as well.
