Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office is preparing to issue a Red Notice for Enes Kanter, under the claim that he is a member of the Gulenist FETO terrorist group.

Reports from Sabah mention that the Turkish Ministry of Justice will apply for a red notice to Interpol as part of “armed terrorist organization”, that only means Kanter is to be extradited to Turkey from the United States.

In the same report as adapted by CNN Turk, it is mentioned that Kanter has allegedly helped said terrorist group with large sums of money, as well as social media support during the recent Turkish coup, while they are also claiming that he visited some schools linked to this group and attended some meetings there with it.

Kanter already has a warrant in his name for “being a terrorist group member”. So the Turkish government wants him to be extradited to Turkey according to international agreements, in order to complete the investigation of his case.
