The German League board and the 17 clubs of the easyCredit BBL  held a teleconference on Wednesday to discuss the current situation and how to deal with the official orders of the German state in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

In careful consideration and taking into account the top priority to counteract the further spread of the coronavirus, it was decided with a clear majority to continue to stop all action until at least April 30, 2020.

The declared goal of the league remains to end the 2019-20 season at a later date, possibly with a shortened schedule.

The clubs of the league will meet again on April 30th, 2020 – if the situation and official regulations change significantly to discuss a possible solution for the season to be concluded.
