The German League announced that the 2019-20 easyCredit BBL season is cleared to resume in Munich, as the Bavarian State Government endorsed the initial plan. The 10-team tournament will take place in June.

The 2019-20 season was suspended on March 8, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Top-tier clubs since agreed to conclude the season with ten teams, which afterward were split into two groups. Following the necessary approval, the German League is now officially en route for a summer comeback.

Group A features FC Bayern Munich, HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, BG Gottingen, and ratiopharm Ulm. MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, ALBA Berlin, RASTA Vechta, Bamberg, and Fraport Skyliners will compete in Group B.

The top four teams will advance to the quarterfinals launching the playoffs. The semifinals and the final will finish up the 2019-20 campaign.

The full schedule will be released later this week.
