Frankie Ferrari ends playing career at age 25 for health reasons

Brose Bamberg announced that the team has terminated Frankie Ferrari’s contract, per the player’s request. Ferrari has decided to end his playing career at the age of 25 for health reasons.

Per Brose Bamberg:

Frankie Ferrari has asked those responsible at Brose Bamberg to terminate his contract. He will end his career with immediate effect for health reasons. Brose has complied with the request and wishes Ferrari all the best for the future. The 25-year-old has already said goodbye to the team and is on his way back to the USA.

Johan Roijakkers: “I very much regret Frankie’s decision. During his weeks with us, he has shown that he suited us very well not only on the court, but also off the floor. Nonetheless, I of course accept his decision and wish him all the best for the future! ”

Frankie Ferrari: “I would like to thank the entire Brose organization for welcoming me last month. I really enjoyed my time in Bamberg with my teammates, coaches and the rest of the team. I really enjoyed playing under coach Johan. Now I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my life. I wish everyone a lot of success for the future. ”

The American came to Bamberg in early September and averaged six points and five assists in his three competitive games. The search for a successor is already underway. Johan Roijakkers and his team are currently exploring the markets in Europe and the USA. Initial talks have already been held.
