Isaac Bonga drives Bayern to a comfortable win in Freak City

In a visit to Freak City, FC Bayern Munich made short work of Brose Bamberg. Setting a new personal best for the 2023-24 campaign with 19 points, Isaac Bonga stood out for the BBL-Pokal champions in an away win, 99-81, on Sunday.

Helping jump to 21-4 in Germany’s easyCredit BBL Regular Season, Elias Harris tallied 15 points. Team captain Vladimir Lucic went for 14 points behind four three-pointers. On the wrong end of one-sided traffic, Trey Woodbury shared a game-high with 19 points.

Andreas Obst (thigh), Serge Ibaka (rest), and Devin Booker (ankle) were ruled out for the Round 26 contest alongside Dino Radoncic. And Nelson Weidemann did not leave the bench for the team coached by Pablo Laso.

Trailing Bayern and Niners Chemnitz in the standings, ALBA Berlin went up to 18-5 by taking down Veolia Towers Hamburg, 85-65. Tim Schneider poured in a career-high 24 points behind 9/10 field goals, including 9/9 two-pointers. Gabriele Procida sat out with Matteo Spagnolo, Khalifa Koumadje, and Johannes Thiemann.
