Bayern Munich was able to reach the final of the German Cup after being tested by Ratiopharm Ulm. After a close first half, Bayern was able to grab 84-73 win thanks to their superior performance in the second half.

Jared Cunningham paced the winning side with 22 points with a help from Reggie Redding who had a solid all-around output, providing 13 points, 7 boards, and 6 assists.

It wasn’t an easy affair for Sasha Djordjevic’s team that had many defensive problems against Ulm, especially in the first 20 minutes. They were down by one point 42-41 at halftime.

The break worked well for Bayern as they were the far better team in the third period. They won that part of the game 26-15 and that was enough for the win.

Isaac Fotu’s 21 points couldn’t help Ulm to book their ticket for the final game.

In the second semifinal, Alba Berlin will play against medi Bayreuth.
