Reyer Venezia and Mitchell Watt signed a multiyear contract extension, the Italian club announced on Monday. The Buffalo alumni remains a Venice resident since 2017.

“I am excited to continue my career at Reyer for two main reasons,” he listed, “First because of the great familiarity I have with the people and the whole Venetian environment, for me and my family Venice is my second home. In addition, I am proud of this organization, because it is a winning team, achieves its goals, and grows year after year.”

Watt, 30, is coming off his second 7DAYS EuroCup campaign, first with Venezia. He averaged 12.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per contest. The 2020-21 season will see him compete in EuroCup again following the early conclusion of the 2019-20 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

During the tenure with his current club, Watt has lifted the FIBA Europe Cup, LBA Serie A, and Italian Cup trophies. Overall, he has made his way to 168 appearances with Venezia.
