Maxima Roma completed a late roster reinforcement for the upcoming 2026–27 BKT EuroCup Regular Season with the addition of Hunter Tyson on Monday.
The 26-year-old forward transitions to the Old Continent after playing 98 NBA games over the last three seasons with the Denver Nuggets, the franchise that drafted the Clemson product 37th overall in 2023. Tyson joins a new squad led by head coach Matteo Cotelli. He has already secured commitments from a veteran group including Mirza Alibegovic, Federico Bonacini, Miro Bilan, John Brown III, Gora Camara, Aaron Holiday, Brynton Lemar, Xavier Moon, Matt Ryan, Giovanni Veronesi, and Carl Wheatle. Vernon Carey Jr. was initially linked to the team but is no longer expected to join the Italian side.
Roma will play in Group B alongside Lithuanian club Siauliai. They recently added to their continuity by locking in a one-year contract extension for 20-year-old Rokas Civilis. Head coach Darius Songaila will guide a lineup that returns Mike Caffey, Selim Fofana, Cedric Henderson Jr., Simas Jarumbauskas, Tauras Jogela, Karolis Lukosiunas, Dayvion McKnight, Martynas Pacevicius, Efton Reid III, Dovydas Romancenko, and Erikas Venskus.
Meanwhile, Group D teams locked down talent on Saturday. PAOK extended Konstantinos Iatridis on a two-year deal to protect their assets, but the 24-year-old forward will pick up minutes through a loan to fellow Stoiximan GBL outfit Mykonos Betsson for the next season. Also, ratiopharm Ulm secured 17-year-old forward-center Juom Maker Bol, who is projected to be selected in the NBA Draft in 2027.
