Cedevita signs Real Madrid youngster Dan Duscak to multiyear deal

Cedevita Olimpija announced the signing of 18-year-old Slovenian guard Dan Duscak to a four-year deal.

Per ABA League:

Dan Duščak, a young and talented Slovenian player who turned 18 on July 2, is moving from Real Madrid to Cedevita Olimpija. The son of the former Dragon Slavko Duscak, signed a four-year contract with the Ljubljana’s team, and Dan has already joined the practices in the Stožice Hall.

Duščak moved to Madrid in 2017 from his home Grosuplje and passed the basketball school of the Madrid club. In 2019, the young Duščak joined the preparations of the Real Madrid senior team and, among other things, made his debut in the royal club’s jersey in the preparation games as part of the preparations for the 2019/20 season.

In his young career, Duščak has played twice at the Adidas Next Generation tournament organized by the Euroleague. In the 2018/19 season, he played in eight games and scored a total of 16 points, and a season later, he averaged 6.8 points in four games.

In 2017, Duščak played in the U16 European Championship of Division A and in seven games played nine minutes on average. He averaged 2.9 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.6 assists.

As he arrived in Ljubljana, Duščak told: “The feelings are great. Signing a contract with Cedevita Olimpija is a big thing for me personally and for my family. I can progress at the club as a player and as a person. In joining Cedevita Olimpija, I see only positive things. I can’t wait to wear the Dragons jersey, but at the same time I can’t wait for the support of the fans from the stands.”
